scared
I don't know what the deal is, but it seems like my pretty safe neighborhood is getting a wake up call lately. About 6 weeks ago, I wrote about someone trying to break into my building one time. Well, apparently this morning someone broke the back door lock to my building trying to get in. Both of these have happened in the daytime. It doesn't seem that anyone has actually seen the person doing this, as far as I know. I just got a note taped to my door about it. The other scary thing is that last week there were 4 armed muggings in my neighborhood late at night. Some of the people mugged were alone, but some were even in groups! I try not to be outside late at night in the park near my place where some of these happened anyway, but one was down the street from my place. Late last night when I was getting home, and had to park around the block, it was really scary walking from the car to my apartment building. These events are really unusual for my neighborhood, and it's really unsettling. You don't want to let these things cause you to live your life in fear, but what are you supposed to do when they are happening right around you?
