reality check

Just this week a nurse from the NICU at my work died unexpectedly. She was younger than my parents, and just died in her car in a parking lot. She was a single parent with a college-age daughter and a teenaged son. I didn't know her, but I saw her around on a regular basis. This, on top of the recent Virginia Tech shootings, has really made me think about how you never know when you or someone you know is going to die. Of course this isn't news, but something like this always brings it home. Sad.
